Overview
GOHA BriefArnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club and Lodge is a private lakeside golf resort on about 270 acres in southwest Orlando, with around 70 guest rooms. It suits golfers who want to play the course that hosts the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational, as well as families and small groups who want a quieter base than the big Orlando resorts.
The lodge sits in a quiet residential area of southwest Orlando, about 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport and still close to major Orlando attractions. Arnold Palmer owned the property from 1975 until his death in 2016, and his family runs it now. Renovated lodge rooms carry photos and memorabilia from his life.
With around 70 rooms, a stay here feels intimate. You can choose single king or double queen rooms, one-bedroom junior suites, two-bedroom suites, or waterside guest cottages with full kitchens that work well for families or small groups. Days can go to the heated junior Olympic-size pool, the full-service spa with steam rooms, whirlpool and saunas, the fitness center, six tennis courts, or the marina for watersports and day cruises on the nearby lakes.
Golf is the main draw. The 27-hole course is open only to club members and registered lodge guests, so staying on site is how most visitors get to play it. There is also an Arnold Palmer Golf Academy and practice facility for lessons. For meals, the Grill and Classic Rooms serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Bay Window offers salads, sandwiches and pizza with course views, and Splash Poolside Dining serves light bites and drinks by the pool.
