Overview
GOHA BriefOrlando StarFlyer is a swing ride on International Drive with a tower about 450 feet tall, promoted as the world's tallest swing ride. It's billed as a family-friendly thrill ride that works for both bold riders and more cautious ones, as long as everyone is at least 44 inches tall.
The StarFlyer sits at 8265 International Drive, right on the I-Drive strip. The tower is lit by more than 240,000 LED lights, so it stands out after dark and makes a good evening stop as well as a daytime one.
The ride has 12 double seats, so you sit beside a friend, family member or partner, with 24 riders going up each cycle. Once you're up, the seats rise and fall while the tower turns you in a full circle, reaching around 45 mph. A ride lasts roughly three to four minutes, and you come back down to the same spot where you boarded.
The main draw is the view. From the top you get unobstructed views in every direction over the city. Back on the ground, there's a bar at the base of the tower if you want a drink after landing.
