Overview
GOHA BriefAquatica Orlando is a tropical water park next to SeaWorld Orlando, with water slides, wave pools, rivers, sandy beaches and kids' areas. It suits families, including those with young children, as well as thrill-seekers after steep tower slides. The water is heated in cooler months, so it stays open year-round.
Aquatica sits right beside SeaWorld Orlando and mixes big slides with plenty of places to slow down. Two wave pools, Cutback Cove and Big Surf Shores, share sandy beach areas: one has gentle rolling surf, the other crashing waves. Loggerhead Lane is a lazy river where you float past tropical fish and can see the dolphin exhibit, while Roa's Rapids is the faster option, with geysers, swirls and high tides.
For thrills, Ihu's Breakaway Falls is described by Visit Orlando as the steepest multi-drop tower slide in Orlando. Reef Plunge takes riders past a school of black-and-white Commerson's dolphins and other marine life. Groups can try Taumata Racer, where up to eight people race down on body mats, or raft and tube slides like Ray Rush, Omaka Rocka, Whanau Way and Walhalla Wave, a family raft ride through a six-story maze of twists, turns and tunnels.
Younger kids have Walkabout Waters, a large multi-level water playground with slides and water cannons. The park recommends planning at least a full day here.
