Overview
GOHA BriefPointe Orlando is an open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district on International Drive, across from the Orange County Convention Center. It works for families during the day, with restaurants, a movie theater and indoor attractions, and for adults at night, when many of the bars and lounges take over.
Pointe Orlando is not a single attraction but an outdoor complex of boutiques, restaurants, a movie theater and entertainment venues at 9101 International Drive. It sits across the road from the Orange County Convention Center, within walking distance of it, and a short drive from the major theme parks.
Daytime suits families. WonderWorks has hands-on science exhibits across about 35,000 square feet, six themed zones, an indoor ropes course, a 4D simulator ride and a laser tag arena. Main Event puts bowling, arcade games, laser tag and a ropes course in one place. Will to Escape gives players 60 minutes to get out of a themed room. The theater has IMAX screens and 4DX options, and the official website also lists Sandbox VR, Activate and Monkey Joe's.
Food covers a lot of ground: Cuban at Cuba Libre, Mexican at Kavas Tacos, Brazilian at Rodizio Grill and Greek at Taverna Opa, plus The Capital Grille and The Oceanaire Seafood Room for steak and seafood. Some venues add belly dancing or fire shows to dinner. After dark, Live! at the Pointe has Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar with its mechanical bull, and Palm Tree Club, and The Improv hosts live stand-up.
