Overview
GOHA BriefHard Rock Hotel is one of Universal Orlando Resort's on-property hotels, run by Loews and styled after California missions with rock-music memorabilia throughout. It's an upscale, family-friendly base within walking distance of both Universal parks and CityWalk. Theme park benefits make it a strong pick for people who plan to spend their days riding.
The hotel sits at 5800 Universal Boulevard, close enough to walk to Universal CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. A water taxi also runs to CityWalk, and shuttles go to Universal Volcano Bay and Epic Universe. It has 650 rooms, including 29 suites, with a rock-music theme running through the property.
The 12,000-square-foot pool area is the center of hotel life. It has a giant waterslide, underwater speakers, a sand pit, two hot tubs, a sand volleyball court, interactive fountains and a children's play area. Lifeguards are on duty while the pool is open, and towels and life jackets are provided for resort guests. Cabanas can be rented, and staff can bring drinks from the poolside bar.
The biggest perk is for park days. Guests with valid park admission get Universal Express Unlimited ride access at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure at no extra cost. They can also enter The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Volcano Bay up to an hour before other guests. Rooms range from Standard Pool View rooms with two queens to the Graceland suite. Club Level rooms on the 7th floor include access to the Rock Royalty lounge with complimentary continental breakfast.
