Overview
GOHA BriefUniversal CityWalk is a 30-acre open-air district of dining, shopping and entertainment at the heart of Universal Orlando Resort. You can walk in without a theme park ticket, so it suits park guests looking for dinner as well as locals and visitors out for a night of food, mini-golf, a movie or live music.
CityWalk sits between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure and works as the shared hub for both parks. Most people arrive on foot from the parking garages, crossing a covered walkway over Universal Boulevard. Guests at certain Universal hotels come in by water taxi, which drops them right in the middle of the district.
Food is a big part of a visit. There are more than 20 restaurants and bars, from quick-service spots to sit-down meals. Options include The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, and Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, known for guacamole made at your table. For shopping, there's the Universal Studios Store, Rock Shop, and the Hart & Huntington tattoo studio.
What stands out is how much there is to do after you eat. Rising Star lets you sing karaoke backed by a live band and backup singers. There's also Hollywood Drive-In Golf, a themed mini-golf course, a 20-screen movie theater, an escape room, and a concert venue. At night, the Red Coconut Club and Hard Rock Live are the main draws.
