GOHA BriefDisney's Art of Animation is a value resort inside Walt Disney World, in the Wide World of Sports area, themed around Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. It was designed with families in mind, and its family suites sleep up to six, so it suits larger groups who want a Disney stay with space to spread out.
The resort opened in May 2012 and is split into four areas, each with its own film design. Animation Hall is the central building. It holds the check-in desk, the bus transportation point, the food court, a gift shop and a video-game arcade.
Rooms come in two types: themed family suites for up to six guests and motel-style standard rooms for up to four. Food is mostly casual. Landscape of Flavors is a quick-service food court laid out like a mall food court, serving American favorites such as made-to-order burgers, sandwiches and pastas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mobile ordering is available. The Drop Off Pool Bar near the main pool serves drinks, with and without alcohol, and snacks.
The Finding Nemo-themed Big Blue Pool is one of the largest at Walt Disney World and sits beside a splash area and a playground. There are also the Cozy Cone Pool, with cone-shaped cabanas, and the Flippin' Fins Pool. The Lion King area has a playground instead of a pool. Getting around is easy because the Disney Skyliner gondola connects the resort to parks and other resorts.
