GOHA BriefEpic Universe is the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, opened on May 22, 2025, with five themed worlds reached from a central hub. It suits a wide range of visitors, from coaster fans to families with younger kids, who will find Isle of Berk the most family-oriented land.
Epic Universe sits on its own site about three miles from the other Universal Orlando parks, near the Orange County Convention Center. The wider development covers about 750 acres and brings together five themed worlds, three hotels and more than 50 attractions, dining and shopping spots.
You enter through Celestial Park, the central hub, and reach the other four worlds through portals: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. Celestial Park has its own rides, including Stardust Racers, a dual-track racing coaster about 133 feet tall that reaches roughly 62 mph, and Constellation Carousel, where seats shaped like celestial creatures spin 360 degrees as they rise and fall. Restaurants are spread across the lands.
The headline ride is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, a motion-based dark ride. Dark Universe draws on classic Universal monster films, with Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment as its main ride. Super Nintendo World has Mario-themed attractions and Yoshi's Adventure, a gentle omnimover ride. Isle of Berk has the Hiccup's Wing Gliders family coaster, a live dragon performance area and a playground. The park also runs two live stage shows, including Le Cirque Arcanus and The Untrainable Dragon.
