Overview
GOHA BriefPainted Horizons Hot Air Balloon Tours runs sunrise balloon flights over Central Florida, including the Disney World area, from its base in Lake Buena Vista. It suits couples, small groups and anyone aged seven or older who wants a quiet, early-morning view of the region from above.
The company has been in business since 1991 and flies over Central Florida, with the Disney World area among the places it passes over. Flights climb to roughly 2,500 feet, with views of theme parks, forests, lakes and orange groves. You can book a private flight, a shared group flight, or a flight reserved for couples only.
The outing starts with the crew unloading the equipment, laying out the balloon and attaching it to the basket, then inflating it with a fan. Once the balloon is fully upright, you climb aboard and the pilot heats it to lift off. Because the balloon drifts with the wind, the company says you feel no wind or turbulence in the air. Photos are welcome during the flight.
You spend about an hour in the air. After landing, there is a champagne or sparkling cider toast with pastries, cheese and crackers. The whole outing, from meeting to return, runs about three to four hours.
