GOHA BriefOrlando HeliTours runs scenic helicopter flights over Orlando and Kissimmee, with routes over the major theme parks, the Butler Chain of Lakes and well-known residents' homes. It's a popular choice with Florida families and visiting tourists who want to see the parks from above.
Orlando HeliTours is a helicopter operations and touring company with two departure points, one in Orlando and one in Kissimmee, so you can choose whichever is closer to where you're staying. The Orlando location sits on International Drive, across from the Premium Outlet Mall.
Flights use Robinson R66 helicopters, and each flight takes up to four passengers. The company says its helicopters are air-conditioned, which it presents as a difference from other Orlando tour operators. That's worth knowing on a hot Florida day.
There are several routes to choose from. The Grand Park Adventure covers Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove. The Celebrity Grand Tour adds the Butler Chain of Lakes and the homes of well-known Florida residents, and one reviewer reported about 25 minutes in the air on it. A short SeaWorld Adventure gives an introductory look at the SeaWorld parks, Discovery Cove and Aquatica. Disney-focused flights pass over Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and the Butler Chain of Lakes.
