GOHA BriefThe Museum of Military History is a veteran-run museum in Kissimmee that traces American conflicts from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf era through uniforms, weapons, vehicles and photos. It suits history fans, families and couples looking for a mostly indoor stop along the US-192 corridor.
The museum sits on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US 192), among the attractions along that stretch of Kissimmee. It is run by veterans, and it covers all branches of the military, from the Revolutionary War and Civil War through both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf era.
Exhibits are laid out in chronological order, with each section given to a different conflict or period. There are no formal guided tours listed, so you move through at your own pace. The space is mostly indoors and needs little walking, and it is suggested to allow about 1 to 2 hours.
A replica of the Florida Vietnam Wall is displayed inside. There are also sections on the Buffalo Soldiers, the Tuskegee Airmen and women in the military. An extensive library is on site, and a gift shop is on the premises.
