GOHA BriefKissimmee Lakefront Park is a waterfront park between historic downtown Kissimmee and the shore of Lake Tohopekaliga. With playgrounds, a splash pad, a fishing pier and paved walking paths, it suits families, anglers, birdwatchers and anyone after an easy lakeside walk.
The park sits right where downtown Kissimmee meets Lake Tohopekaliga, so you get open lake views a short walk from the historic center. The grounds spread out with large outdoor event spaces, open fields, rentable pavilions and picnic tables with BBQ grills.
A typical visit might be a loop on the paved lakeside path, about 1.1 miles and around 30 to 60 minutes on foot, with stops at the monuments along the way. Statues and memorials marking Kissimmee's history and national history are spread across the grounds and free to view, including the Monument of States, a lighthouse, the Veterans Memorial and the Bataan-Corregidor Memorial. Kids have playgrounds and a splash pad. The Veterans Lawn playground was replaced in 2024 with a newer mobility-enhanced design that has a tower feature.
The water is a big part of the draw. You can fish from the pier, and boats head out onto the lake from the Big Toho Marina on site. Keep an eye on the shoreline for Snail Kites, Limpkins and Wood Storks, and sometimes river otters.
