GOHA BriefScreamin' Gator is a zip line course inside Gatorland, the alligator park in Orlando, with lines that run over alligators and crocodiles. It adds height and speed to a day at the park. It is sold separately from regular park admission.
The course sits above Gatorland's animals and its Alligator Breeding Marsh, and the route passes over Cuban and Nile crocodiles as well as public walkways and other exhibits. In total there are about 1,200 feet of zip line, launching from platforms up to about 65 feet high.
Each session starts with a short safety lesson before you head up the towers. Helmet and harness are supplied. You then ride five zip lines, the longest more than 500 feet, and cross a swinging bridge over the park's main walkway. Expect speeds near 30 miles per hour. Plan on roughly 90 minutes to two hours from start to finish.
What stands out is the view straight down onto the gators and crocs. Once you're back on the ground, the rest of Gatorland is there too, including the breeding marsh observation tower, a free-flight aviary, a petting zoo and live animal shows.
