GOHA BriefFun Spot America Orlando is a family-run amusement park on the north end of International Drive, with roller coasters, go-karts, family rides, arcades and a reptile exhibit. It suits families looking for a flexible day out, from small kids on the splash pad to thrill-seekers on the SkyCoaster.
Fun Spot America sits just off International Drive, about two blocks from the main strip. The park is operated by the Fun Spot America Theme Parks family business. The Orlando park opened on December 24, 1997, but the brand goes back further: it started in Orlando in 1979 as Fun N Wheels, near the same stretch of International Drive.
A visit is easygoing. There is no set order, so you can move between roller coasters, go-karts, family rides, midway games, indoor arcades and food stands as you like. There are classics like a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, bumper boats, a carousel and a Scrambler-style ride. Younger kids have kiddie rides, fun houses and a splash pad. The Gator Spot, run with Gatorland, has over 100 reptiles.
What stands out: White Lightning, described as the only fully wooden roller coaster in Orlando, and a 250-foot-tall SkyCoaster. Go-kart fans get four multi-level tracks, including the yellow Quad Helix, which the park calls its signature track, with corkscrews and steep banks. Double-seat karts let you bring a younger passenger along.
