GOHA BriefEPCOT is a Walt Disney World theme park, opened in 1982, that combines rides with a lagoon-side loop of country pavilions full of shops and restaurants. It suits travelers interested in food and world culture.
EPCOT sits almost in the middle of the Walt Disney World property. The park is split into four areas: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature and World Showcase. Most visits start at Spaceship Earth, the ride inside the big geodesic globe, which traces the history of communication from early cave paintings onward.
The park has eleven rides, including Soarin', Test Track, Mission: SPACE, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After. Between rides there are shows, films, interactive experiences, character greetings, shops, and plenty of restaurants and snack spots.
World Showcase is a ring of 11 country pavilions around a lagoon, and you can walk from one nation to the next, stopping at the shops and restaurants in each.
