GOHA BriefHoliday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake is a large family resort in Kissimmee, about 6 miles from Walt Disney World Resort. It suits families who want villa-style rooms with kitchens and plenty to do on site, from pools and golf to kids' clubs.
The resort spreads over about 1,450 acres at 8505 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, split into four villages: North, West, East and River Island. It sits roughly 6 miles from Walt Disney World Resort, 13 miles from SeaWorld Orlando and 19 miles from Orlando International Airport.
Rooms range from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, about 430 to 2,475 square feet. Villas and suites include a kitchen or kitchenette and an en suite bathroom. West Village studios have a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table and a living area with a pullout sleeper sofa. Several restaurants and poolside bars mean you can eat without leaving the property.
There are seven outdoor pools, and the Splash Lagoon complex has a lazy river, waterslides, two hot tubs, a kiddie pool and an interactive fountain. Golfers get four courses with 54 holes, including an Arnold Palmer signature course and a nine-hole course lit for night play, plus the McCord Golf Academy. There is also an 80-acre lake for watersports, sports courts, a nature trail, three fitness centers, three arcades, two mini golf courses and a kids' adventure club.
