GOHA BriefDisney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a Disney Moderate hotel in the EPCOT area, set around the 45-acre Barefoot Bay lake and split into six island-themed villages. Its room layouts can take a range of party sizes, so it works well for families and groups, especially those who want easy Skyliner rides to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Opened in 1988, the resort is built around Barefoot Bay, with guest buildings spread across six island-themed villages. The official resort page mentions a white-sand beach and pirate-themed rooms, where the bed is styled as a pirate ship with a mast as the headboard. Old Port Royale is the main hub, with the lobby, check-in desk, food court and shops, plus a pool bar and table-service restaurant in a building next door.
The pools are a big part of a stay here. Fuentes del Morro, the feature pool, is zero-entry and styled as a colonial Spanish fortress, with water cannons, a shipwreck play area for little children and two waterslides, one about 102 feet long. Quieter leisure pools are scattered around the property, including a 12-person spa pool near the Banana Cabana pool bar. All pools are heated to about 82°F year-round.
For food, Sebastian's Bistro serves Caribbean-style dishes with some waterfront tables, and Centertown Market covers quick breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a grab-and-go section for snacks and coffee. Outside the parks, you can rent boats and bikes at the marina near Old Port Royale, follow the jogging trail around Barefoot Bay, or join evening campfires and outdoor Disney movie screenings.
