Overview
GOHA BriefDisney's Beach Club Resort is a New England-style hotel on Crescent Lake in the Epcot Resort Area, a short walk from EPCOT. It suits families who want a big pool area, character dining and easy access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The Beach Club sits on Crescent Lake beside its sister property, the Yacht Club, at 1800 Epcot Resorts Boulevard in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando. It opened in November 1990 and is run by Disney Experiences. Its location is the main draw: EPCOT is a short stroll away, and boats leave from the resort for EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, the BoardWalk, the Swan and the Dolphin.
Much of a stay here revolves around Stormalong Bay, a three-acre water area shared with the Yacht Club. It has a sand-bottomed pool, a lazy river, whirlpool spas and a 230-foot waterslide. Younger children can wade in from a gently sloping sandy beach and play in the Shipwreck Pool, which has a small slide. Adults after a calmer swim can use one of three leisure pools shared between the two resorts.
For food, Hurricane Hanna's is a walk-up grill and bar beside Stormalong Bay, Cape May Cafe off the lobby serves a character breakfast and a New England-style dinner buffet, and Beach Club Marketplace handles quick-service meals. There is also a gym, sauna, steam room and Swedish massage options, a fifth-floor Concierge Level with a private lounge and turndown service, and a lobby concierge who can help with park tickets, dining reservations and show seats.
