Overview
GOHA BriefDisney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is a Disney Vacation Club resort on Seven Seas Lagoon, a short hop from Magic Kingdom by monorail or boat. Disney describes it as a family retreat. Deluxe Studios suit shorter getaways, and the two-bedroom overwater bungalows suit larger groups of up to eight.
The resort sits on Seven Seas Lagoon in Lake Buena Vista, next to the Polynesian Village Resort. Guests here share that resort's restaurants, pools and other amenities. The monorail links to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, a boat runs to Magic Kingdom, and buses serve the other Disney parks.
Rooms range from Deluxe Studios to overwater bungalows. The studios have an island-themed design, an outdoor patio or balcony, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher. The bungalows sit over the lagoon with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a private back deck with a plunge pool. The living areas face the water.
What stands out is the view. Bungalow decks face the Magic Kingdom fireworks, deck speakers can play the show's music, and the Electrical Water Pageant passes in view. Around the resort there's the Lava Pool with its volcano, water slide, zero-entry area and infinity hot tub, plus a quieter pool by the villas with poolside dining. Kona Café, Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and the Pineapple Lanai stand cover food and drinks, and Movies Under the Stars, boat rentals and a jogging trail fill the downtime.
